Call recording
Calls through our line may be recorded and monitored. By staying on the line after being told a call may be recorded, you consent to the recording. Recordings are used for quality assurance, training, billing verification and dispute resolution. If you do not wish to be recorded, please end the call and contact a provider directly.
How we share information
- Service providers you're connected with. When you call, your phone number and the call itself are passed to the provider you're routed to. This happens at your direction, because you called to reach a provider.
- Pay-per-call networks and marketing partners. We work with call networks that route calls and pay us for connected calls on behalf of providers. They receive your phone number, call details, the service you asked about, your approximate location and, where recorded, the call recording, so they can route the call, verify it and settle billing.
- Vendors. Hosting, call tracking, telephony, analytics and email vendors that process information for us under contract.
- Advertising platforms. Platforms such as Google receive data through cookies and conversion tags to measure ad performance and, where enabled, to show you ads on other sites.
- Legal and safety. When required by law or to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users or others.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some use of advertising cookies may count as "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law; you can opt out as described below.
Cookies and tracking technologies
We and our partners use cookies and similar tools to keep the Site working, understand how visitors use it, and measure whether our ads lead to calls. These may include Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion tracking and a call-tracking service that displays a unique phone number so a call can be matched to the visit that produced it. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. You can manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com and opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on.
Text messages and marketing calls
We do not use the phone number you call from to send you marketing calls or text messages. A provider you speak with may contact you about your service request under their own privacy practices.
How long we keep information
We keep call records and recordings for as long as needed for routing, billing reconciliation and dispute resolution, generally no longer than 24 months, unless a longer period is required by law. Contact form messages are kept as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record-keeping.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you, the categories of sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties we disclose it to
- Access a copy of the specific personal information we hold about you
- Delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions
- Correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information (we do not use sensitive personal information for purposes that require this right)
- Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights
Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information: use our opt-out page to opt out on your browser, or email privacy@kbhomefix.com with the subject "Do Not Sell or Share." We also treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request for that browser. When you opt out, we turn off ad personalization signals and enable Google's restricted data processing for your visits.
Submitting a request: email privacy@kbhomefix.com or call (844) 353-2211 and ask for privacy requests. Include the phone number you called from so we can locate your records. We'll verify your request by matching information you provide against our records, and we'll respond within 45 days. You may use an authorized agent, who must provide proof of your authorization.
Categories collected in the past 12 months: identifiers (phone number, IP address, email), internet activity, approximate geolocation, audio information (call recordings), and inferences about the service you're seeking. Sources are you, your device, and our telephony and advertising vendors. We disclose these categories to the recipients listed under "How we share information."
Children's privacy
The Site and referral line are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
